St. Sofia Church (Divine Wisdom)

St. Sofia Church (Divine Wisdom) is situated in the downtown of the Bulgarian capital, close to the St. Al. Nevski Temple. It is one of the oldest churches in Sofia and its history is closely related to the history of this city. Today, this temple is considered to be one of the symbols of Sofia.

This church was built In 6th century during the time of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian  (ruling 527-565), on the fundaments of 4 older Christian temples from 4th century.
